Teaching experience

In recognition of my expertise in perioperative medicine and geriatric trauma, I was invited to lecture at the British Geriatric Society International Conference (2023), Society for Acute Medicine International Conference (2022), British Geriatric Society Regional Meeting (2021) and also on an Emergency Medicine regional training day. I also delivered a lecture on Geriatric Perioperative Care to fourth year medical students. As a Foundation doctor I organised and led a program for third year medical students on the interpretation of common medical investigations, receiving excellent feedback. The course became a part of the undergraduate programme in subsequent years, and the work was presented at the Association for the Study of Medical Education conference. I have valued the opportunity to mentor allied healthcare professionals. I mentored nurses in clinical assessment and decision-making during their university training (2015-2019).

I have previous experience as an Advanced Life Support instructor.
